Soulmates as a couple or with friends

You need no account: one of you opens a game, shares its link, and everyone plays in their own browser, on a phone or a computer. Two players as a couple, up to twelve with friends, and it's free.

Opening a game

  1. Press New game, pick a nickname, and choose the game's settings (below).
  2. Send the game's link to your partner or your friends. Whoever opens it picks a nickname and joins; nobody signs up.
  3. Once everyone is in, the host starts the game: a couple starts with both of you, a matching game with three players at least. With friends, anyone with the link can still join until the last question while the room has a free seat, and the room has a chat.
  4. At the end, Clone opens a new game with the same settings and new questions, for the rematch.

The choices

  • Who is playing: a couple, the two of you guessing each other's answers, or matching, three to twelve players paired by their answers.
  • Pairs, for matching: everyone with everyone, or two sides (brides-to-be and grooms-to-be, the bride's side and the groom's side, team A and team B), with pairs made across them.
  • Mode: peaceful, with no scores and a badge for everyone, or competitive, with points for guesses and a podium.
  • Questions: getting to know you, love and relationships, fun and absurd, future and dreams, friendship, family, or any mix of them; 5, 10, 15 or 20 of them, of 20, 30 or 45 seconds each. Love languages plays on its own, with ten questions or more, and ends with each player's heart's language, just for fun.
  • Players, for matching: how many the room takes, from three up to twelve, an even count giving everyone a pair. It is optional, an extra layer of privacy: once the room is full, nobody else who opens the link can join it or see the game, the final included. A couple's room is for the two of you alone, unless you let friends watch.
  • Spectators: none, or up to twelve friends who watch the questions, the answers and the final, and chat, without playing. They have seats of their own, so no player ever loses a seat to them.
  • How long the answers are kept after the game: 10 minutes, an hour or a day. After that they are gone.
  • For adults only: the host can mark a game so, and every player then declares being 18 or older. It is a note among the players and changes nothing in the game.

Where to play

  • On a date night, at home or far apart: each on a phone, then talk over the answers you didn't share.
  • With a group of friends, around a table or on a call: the matching shows who is most alike, and the table has plenty to say about it.
  • At a wedding or a henna night: open it with the bride's side and the groom's side, and let the two families meet.

A few tips

  • For a first game, keep every kind of question, 10 questions and 30 seconds each.
  • Pick the answer that is really yours, not the one you think is expected: the matching is only as good as the answers.
  • The best part often comes after: ask each other about the answers that surprised you.
